CT & USG Scan
CT Scan
CT scans can be used to visualize internal organs, bones, soft tissues, blood vessels, and other structures within the body. They are commonly used to diagnose and monitor a wide range of medical conditions, including:
- Traumatic injuries, such as fractures, internal bleeding, or head injuries.
- Tumors and cancerous growths.
- Infections, such as pneumonia or abscesses.
- Blood clots or vascular abnormalities.
- Structural abnormalities, such as kidney stones or hernias.
- Planning and guidance for surgical procedures or radiation therapy.
CT scans may be performed with or without the use of contrast agents, which are substances that help enhance the visibility of certain tissues or blood vessels. Contrast agents can be administered orally, intravenously, or rectally, depending on the specific area of the body being examined.
